Simplify

Sticking with poetry....

Simplify

Page 21 of an old text
Bound by an invisible longevity
One that is waiting to be conquered
But to this day, I stay perplexed.

I factorize with utmost care
Follow step by step to simplify
To find and solve
But still, the result shuns resolve.

For two plus two can simplify to two pairs;
With fluidity and ease.
But introduce a group of three
And the square becomes isosceles.

Two of the same degree,
Staring at each other with grace.
The third that spoils, hopefully;
Forever doomed in it's place.

I waste in circles,
Searching for my solution.
Wishing for the wrong to be right
And the right to be wrong.

I know that my correct
Will not be
And that the incorrect
Is all I see.

And I can only hope
That this triangle
Will subtract for additions sake,
And become my circle
